Do Calories Matter in CAD???

I just have a quick question about the CAD diet and if calories matter or count towards the diet.
I usually control my calorie intake during my low carb meals but I go "all out" on my reward meal. So, I was wandering if this might the reason as to why my weight loss is very very slow.
