Default Leg Cramps!!!

I have been on this diet for over a month and the past 2 nights I have had bad leg cramps. I'm not doing anything really diff. My average carb intake is under 10 a day. I thought that may be the reason, but why start now after a month?? also water is my best friend.
Thank you,
Tammy

Default THANK YOU JUDE!!!

I wen't to the store yesterday and bought some potassium supplements, and lastnight was the best I had slept in a longtime. I don't know if it was really the pills or in my head, but something worked. I still hurt a little, but not as bad.
Thank you again,
Tammy

You're welcome! Glad I could point you in the right direction (like someone else did for me a few months ago).

If I recall, being in Ketosis speeds up mineral loss, hence a lack of Potassium. So that may very well be what causes yours and my leg cramps. I've been taking supplements as well as using Lite Salt which is sodium/potassium.

Hi WVTammy,

The cure for night-time leg cramps? Give this a try.

MSM is known among some marathon runners to be the cure for leg cramps and spasms. I was already taking 1000 mg MSM with my breakfast vitamins but still getting night-time leg cramps. So I began taking another 1000 mg at each meal and another tablet at bed time. Expect an instant cure. The instructions on the bottle say two capsules 1-2 times a day with meals. Therefore, this could be increased to as many as four capsules per day. I now take one tablet at each meal.

Give it a try and please give feedback.

Kent
