Default OOOPS ... 4 carbs over

Ooops! I got a little hungry today and had 24 carbs instead of the 20 allowed on induction. It was all good food, just too much. Does this mean I need to start over? I am at the end of week 1 of induction.

you shoulkd be fine, just make sure you keep it under, but you were actually close to your20 grams, just drink more water and pick your self off dust your self off and move on one small ( and this was very small) mistake is nothing to worry about.

No, you wouldn't have to start over just because of 4g extra carbs. It can be hard to hit exactly 20g every single day. I hovered between 17-23 throughout induction (I stayed on induction for almost 3 months) and didn't notice any difference after the odd day with a little bit higher carb count.

I never hit 20 on the nose. I was usually under by 1 or 2.. It would be a pain for me to get it perfect while trying to cook for 4 kids, hubby and myself, lol. Once in a while I planned my days food and only then would it be close to 20.

Do not, I repeat, Do not, obsess over 4 carbs. If you do, you will drive yourself crazy. And really, how would you "start over"? You're still in the induction phase, you haven't left it, you are trying hard. Keep up the good work!! This is an inexact science. Measure the best you can but keep in mind how many carbs you used to ingest and concentrate on how you feel.

if ever you feel you've gone over your carb limit...

well this is what i do:
-drink more water than usual
-take a fibre supplement (i used metamucil)
-and most importantly try to add a little more physical activity

Don't sweat it, especially if it was from Green Veggies. I found out recently I was likely [significantly] underestimating my Green Veggies for the last 14 months. So much so, that on some days it would have pushed my Carbs from just below 20g [which is what I'd estimated] to the 30s. It didn't stop my weight loss...So, I don't really worry about it.
