Default Tylenol Flu gelcaps & Atkins

Hi Everyone! I have had this cough that won't go away and went to my doctor and she suggested that I get some Tylenol Flu (gel caps)for coughs, nasal congestion, runny nose.

I took it yesterday and today and when I got up this morning I decided (I rarely use them) to check my ketostick. It was really light . Could that Tylenol have thrown me out of ketosis?

The ingredients are: Analgesic (acetominophen) 500mg, Antihistamine (diphenhydramine hydrochloride) 25mg, Nasal decongestant (pseudoephedrine hydrochloride) 30 mg.

Please help.

Peace

I often wonder myself on the regular Tylenol gelcaps and I think what you have to worry about is the other ingredients, like the coating. Im not real sure myself, so I just take it minimally, only when I have to.

Well...

Since you rarely use the ketostix, it's hard to say if the medication caused a change or if that's just where you are right now. If they're showing any color at all, you're still in ketosis.
For myself, if I'm sick I take the medication that I need to get better and worry about ketosis/losing weight when I'm feeling better again. Being sick is enough stress all on its own without adding to it by worrying about what color that little strip is turning.
Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks Vicky and Lisa! The last time I checked the ketostick it was a good pink shade. I can't wait to stop coughing.

Peace
