If you go off of any "diet" and return to your pre-diet ways, then you will gain the weight back. This is true of weight watchers, atkins, SBD, slimfast, LA weightloss, even gastric bypass surgery!
The best advice I can give to you is that you need to find a plan that YOU can stick with long term, like forever For some, that is WW, for others, it's SBD, and for others like me, it is Atkins. For you, it could be one of the above or something totally different. Just make sure you inform yourself fully about the one you might choose before hand, you would be surprised at the misconceptions about many of the plans out there, you should do the legwork yourself so you can make the best decision for you.
I wish I had done this years ago when I continually was going to WW and on low-fat, high-carb plans that I just gained weight on. If I was more openminded about Atkins then (I listened to the negative-hype), I wouldn't have 100+ lbs to lose now. I'm so happy that I have finally found something that I can stick with long term.
Good luck!
