Question Percentages ??????

Hey Guys,

Can someone please tell me if there is a suggested fat, protein and carb ratio per day? I just signed up with FitDay.com and I love it because it breaks everything out for your daily comsumption after you enter your food and beverage products.

I have scoured my Atkin's book and can't seem to locate this information. I would love some help!!!! Thanks

Hi Tamara,

Sorry that I can't give you an answer to your question.

It can be a bit slow on weekends here, but I'm sure that someone with the answer will be along soon.

Karen

Debbie,

Thank you for your assistance. How do you get that fat? What foods do you concentrate on? I think I'm much higher on the protein side.

GAD's! I'm way off it that's what we're doing. I am consuming more like a 30% fat, 40% protein and a 30% carb diet! Maybe if I ate more red meat and a higher fat cheese, that might get me up there!

tamara, i have mayo w/my breakfast and my lunch. i have olive oil at dinner usually. i also eat sunflower seeds daily and of course my protein has some fat in it. i figure i get most of my fat from the mayo, olive oil and sunflower seeds.

i love sunflower seeds in salads. they give an extra, salty crunch! plus they're a good source of vitamin E to protecto your heart!

katryding, are you following the zone diet? that sounds very similar to they're ratios.

I've never studied the Zone diet.
Today I had:
Breakfast: alfalfa sprouts, dandelion leaves, low fat jalepeno cheese and two scrambled egg whites wrapped in a red lettuce leaf.
Lunch: three ounces of ham, string cheese, spinach leaves and mixed greens with Ranch dressing and horseraddish on the side.
Snack: 1/2 of a Pink Lady and a slice of smoked salmon
Supper: two chicken breasts wokked without skin or fat, steamed cabbage leaves, broccoli with low fat soy cream and five blueberries.

Maybe I can't add???

I eat a lot of fish and poultry. Red meat a few times a week and usually cheese with most meals.
