Ok, lets face it, most of us fall off the perverbal wagon at least twice while we're on Atkins. It's just "normal", but if you're like me...you've fallen off way more than once. Heck, I've lost count.

I have had a cheat here and there but even those are planned in my low carb woe. Other than that, I can say that I have never fallen off the wagon.

Save as above -- I too have had two planned times when I have eased up on Atkins (like trips home) but even then I didn't eat like I used to. I was able to stay away from sugared drinks, chips, most breads, diet pop, etc. I don't consider those times to be falling off the wagon because I knew that I was going back on and that I would be careful and make carbs count (i.e. no french fries, just Mom's tortillas). I also tried to make sure I never ate carbs alone -- I ate a bit of fat and/or protein too in order to ease the rise in my blood sugar.

This WOE is so easy for me and I feel better on it. That's the only reason I have been able to stick with it despite being stalled for almost a full year.

That said I am in a very fortunate position right now -- I live alone and I control all of the food that makes its way into my home. I know my weakness/trigger foods and keep them out. Just like I don't walk through the bakery in the grocery store or walk past Cinnabon in the mall.

I fell off 2X...the first time was last summer and regained 4 lbs...was good up until March when stress put me over the top. This time, gained 2 lbs but my body looked worse and energy level is nil (still trying to get that ketosis energy). I know am determined to make this my LAST time and reach goal this year. I know I can do it because this determination was absent the other time but was there the first time back in 2002!

The stats on this are interesting! I've recently been falling off the wagon pretty regularly (a lot of stress) but as long as I can get back on without gaining, I don't get too upset.

Frequent faller here. I figure the running to catch up to the wagon keeps me in better shape anyway-forced exercise never hurt anybody.

I never, ever felt tempted to fall off the wagon until I hit Maintenance. No longer being in ketosis makes it much, much harder to stay on track! Over Memorial Day I went on a four-day carb bender that found me face-first in a plate of french fries. Several times since then I've used eating out as an excuse to have a roll, french fries, a bite of cake, breaded/fried food, etc. It's terrible. Of course pregnancy cravings aren't helping.

Just a word to the wise when it comes to Maintenance. You don't realize how great ketosis makes you feel until you're no longer in it!

Once, but in a big way. I went on vacation 2 weeks ago, fully prepared to stick to LC but I only lasted 24 hours. Once I got home, one weekend turned into a full week and I just got back on plan yesterday.
