Default Hyperpigoutogenesis

Hi all,

Sorry to be throwig around the scientific lingo. Let me explain the word "hyperpigoutogenesis" : hyper (means pedal to the metal giddy-up), pigout (means eat like a famine is coming), genesis (for creation or beginning). HPG.

Had an attack of HPG yesterday. Had to go out at the crack of dawn and in the early morning fog rush had two deviled eggs for breakfast. Many errands took me many walking miles, past, oh, about ten-thousand restaurants/bakeries/donut shops.

Returned home about six hours later (Dr. Atkins advises not going more than six waking hours without eating) and I was famished. Raging hunger. My taste buds consulted and decided on linguine with white clam sauce and garlic bread. Wine. Overruled 'em.

But I had stopped at a grocery and one of my puchases was an on-sale package of chicken wing drummettes. 1.27 pounds. Hot wings !, I thought. Was too hungry to look up a recepie. I dumped 'em in a bowl, put a big hunk of butter in a saucepan, and drowned it with the rest of a nearly full bottle of hot sauce. Poured that over the chicken. I suspect you should marainate it (maybe for hours), but I layed 'em out in a pan and stuck 'em in a 450 degee oven. 30 - 40 minutes for nice and crispy. Hurry, oven.

Make some quick blue cheese dressing. Pretty common, I guess. Crumble blue cheese in a bowl and add sour cream. Mix it up, but leave it a little lumpy. Then add lemon juice until it is as creamy as you'd like.

Then I sat down and ate every single bite of that chicken. Sucked the bones. For dessert, had a red raspberry Diet-Rite with a spoonful of heavy cream stirred into it.

(Burp ! ) Well, it wasn't a half-gallon of ice cream with Hershy chocolate syrup (whoopie-ding, it's FAT FREE), but it did feel like a pigout. Sort'a.

When you suffer from HPG, seems like the whole world is a high carb minefield. Sigh.

Yah, just rushed to the freezer to get some wings out. I hope it thaws out by dinner time! I sure wish I could find that red raspberry diet rite, but no luck there. I'll have to get the tangerine diet rite and mix heavy cream in it. I'm sure it'll be great, but I want that red raspberry soda!

I just wanted to congratulate you on such a great job resisting all those temptations and urges! Whooray!

Right on. When I'm full and feeling good, they play food commercials for hours it seems like. Hundreds of em too. Ulgh. I wanna run out and attack anything that looks edible.
::feels faint:: But I don't.

I used to suffer from HPG. Now my outbursts are far and few in between. But when it happens...keep your arms and head in the vehicle at all times. IT IS NOTHING NICE!!

BUT you resisted temptation and THAT must make you feel terrific. Congrats on the ultimate of tests.

Who cares how many wings you et, you resisted the linguine w/clam sauce, garlic bread and wine. Those wings sound great.

Congrats on resisting Arrow!!! Sounds delicious.

I want wingsssssssssssss!!!!

I need that recipe because every time I try to make chicken it tastes awful and my steak is always hard. What hot sauce do you use?

I will try the blue cheese recipe? Hey, can I have blue cheese on induction? I'll check I guess.

I gave not had anything sweet since I started, if I find the right jello I will make some with cream.

Why is it that all I can hear is the sound of hundreds of feet running to the store followed by the scream of panicked cashiers?

Enjoy your wings!
