Hi there! I've found chromium to be very helpful with cravings, take one in the morning and bad junk food can sit in front of me all day and I'm not even tempted. I haven't heard that it didn't do anything for some people, but it may be the case for some.

I believe L Caratine is useful in fat moving, and the process of burning fat. I have had no experience with it.

Some people have decaff on induction, some people have caffinated also. Just make sure you count the carbs in the coffee (yes, it has a few carbs) along with a carb for each packet of artificial sweetner you use and any cream added. You can make your morning drink a customized food on fitday.com which many people here use.

HTH

Beth

I'm currently in an 8-week experiment using chromium, glutamine, coQ10, l-carnitine, fish oil, and lipoic acid...all the supplements that supposedly help your metabolism and blood sugar. My experiment got interrupted a bit by Xmas and a flu-bug, but I've been on them for about 3 weeks. I know that my blood sugar and cravings are better and glutamine is like a magic pill when it comes to controlling cravings (it's also good for other things!). It seems as though my weight didn't fluctuate as wildly through my holiday indulgences and came right back off again very easily, even though I've been eating at a pretty high calorie level. In other words, I believe they're working! If I can break through that stupid 155-157 setpoint of mine in the next month, I'll be sold for sure!!!

I didn't realize that coffee had carbs until I entered it on fitday. I had to double check that I added only plain coffee.
