Just goofing off on-line and found this site. So glad I did. Have been lurking for about an hour before I decided to join and post.

My bf and I decided to start Atkins on April 18, 2004. Actually, he didn't decide anything, I guess I decided it for us. Although we know that we should only weigh ourselves at the most once a week, the temptation has been killing us, so we stepped on the scale this am. I am down 9 pounds and he is down 12. Now we know that this is mostly water weight, but it sure is a boost to continue on with the plan.

I do have a question though. In the book, Dr. Atkins talks about measuring carbs for the week instead of daily. Is this acceptable during induction? I am finding that some days I just really need an extra cup or two of my coffee with creamer, so some days I average 21-23g of carbs and others I ave 16.

It's really great to be here.
