I would just avoid the rice, noodles and anything breaded. Most veggies and the chicken or beef stuff should be ok. Nothing in a sweet and sour sauce of course.

I went to eat chinese a few months ago and there was plenty of stuff to choose from in the buffet.

You have to be really careful in Chinese restaurants. Practically everything that is fried is breaded, and most of the sauces are full of sugar. Watch out for the hot and sour or egg drop soup because they sometimes load it up with corn starch.

The best thing to do may be to make your own Chinese food, so you can control what goes in the sauces. Try a stir-fry with chicken or beef in sesame oil, with garlic and red pepper flakes, then add small amounts of veggies like onion, bell pepper, or snow peas; also add some bamboo shoots or sliced Napa cabbage to add volume.

I posted my hot and sour soup recipe over in the recipe section a few months ago. Look there or on Atkins.com for other Chinese recipes.

I worked in a chinese restraunt for many years when I was younger and trust me when I say this. Almost everthing they cook has sugar. They add it w/ the soy sauce and salt and it pretty much makes a base mix, another thing that we need to worry about it the meat is usally marianted w/ cornstach to give it that soft texture. As an earlier post said, it might be better to make at home. Plus more fun too.

The soup should be ok, just an easy way of telling is, if it was thin you are set, if it was thick they added thickers, anyway its just one day...dont worry.
