Default Vegetarians and Quorn Roasts

Anyone else find Quorn roasts very useful? I cook one and have slices at odd times as well as using it to 'beef' up vegetable dishes. I use the 'ham and chicken style'slices in all sorts of ways too. They are not everyone's taste, as many veggies hate things which taste like meat, and, in the past, they were made with non-freerange eggs. However, I like them, particuarly now they have started using FR eggs.

SO much veggie stuff is grain based, Quorn is a good alternative.

HI Lucyr

I use a lot of quorn pieces and quorn sausages as I don't eat meat at all. I tend to marinade the pieces and throw them into stir frys and things. They do make a good alternative and somedays i find it hard to get enough carbs (strangely enough!) so I add them to my meal. The roasts are good too like you say - it stops me overeating cheese ( i just love cheese ....)
