Broccoli Alfredo-Pasta Substitute
Lovely pasta subsitute. I made this for breakfast yesterday, really good for people on the run:
Classico Alfredo Sauce or other brand
Fresh broccoli
Lightly steam broccoli, it should be green and still a little cruncy but tender when you poke the stalks with a knife
drizzle sauce on liberally
the sauce is 3 carbs per 1/4 of a cup, so you can use quite a bit, brands may vary in carb count
And serve! This only takes a few minutes and is really satisfying
I would recommend serving this with parmasan, pepper and garlic perhaps as a side dish to some poultry.
