Default leg cramps?

I've woken up in the middle of the night for the past few days due to very painful cramps in my calves ... Anyone know why or how I can prevent them???

Sounds like you need some potassium.

Default leg cramps

In the atkins book it says that taking supplements with CALCIUM will alleviate that problem and when I woke with leg cramps in the night, I began to take Calcium and Magnesium tablets and the cramps disappeared.

Good old "Charley Horses". Boy can they hurt...I agree take some Calcium. A person has to either rub those the cramp out or get out of bed and walk it out....painful...sorry...ag!!!

Leg cramps can be caused by not getting enough Calcium, Potassium or Magnesium. Make sure you are getting enough of these and the cramps should go away.

Get some combined Calcium & Magnesium tablets & take them for a few days. They are best for the muscle cramps. Be sure to keep drinking the daily water too. That is important.

The easiest way to get some potassium (without any danger of overdosing) is to use No Salt on your food.
