Exclamation Might be a stupid question

OK. I was rereading the induction over again just to make sure that I understand fully. When I was reading it, I got to the veggie part and how most of your 20 carbs that you are getting will come from veggies. Then it just kind of drops off. So where I am having a problem is I want to stay at 20, but have no idea if I am because I do not know what the carb amount for viggies are. I looked a little on the net, but thought I would try here too. You all are so full of helpful info.

Thanks!

For the veggies on the Induction list, I believe that it's about 1/2 cup of cooked veggies, plus 2 cups of lettuce and salad veg. That's close enough.

Thanks everyone. All of this really helped. I feel so much better about the amount of carbs I am having.

How do you determine the number of daily carbs for the induction period? I presume that's the two weeks of no bread, rice, etc? I'm new to this and interested but really didn't know how to ask the question until I saw your message.

Selena26, fitday.com is great, just don't panic when you see the carbs for some veggies as fitday doesn't subtract the fiber. The breakdown at the top WILL show you the fiber carbs, however, and fiber carbs don't count against your 20.

It takes a little time to get used to fitday, but it's a great tool.

boinks, please go pick up the book. The plan is very structured not just two weeks of no bread and rice. I would suggest not starting this WOE until you've gotten all the information you need - otherwise you will just be spinning your wheels in the mud.

Good luck to you!
