Default My %'s ....your feedback!

My way of eating is

protein 50% of total calories
Fat 35% of total calories
Carbs 15% of total calories

Amount of calories varies from day to day - I do not count them, but I do look at the % on fitday at the end of each day.
These percentages are what I seem to eat naturally each day without planning low carb meals. I'm on maintenance.
------------------------------
I am also satisfied with this level of fat. I know many people eat much higher % of fat than I do...but I do not have fat left to lose and enjoy this way of eating.

Eating "too much" to me is to error on the side of more fat or more protein...carbs always stay so low...and I don't crave or want more carbs...

Your thoughts?

N...is it working for you?

That should be your only concern if you're on maintenance. Obviously what you've done seemed to get you to goal!! So, if your daily routine keeps you there, I'd say fine.

You're getting a good deal of veggies as your carbs, and proteins? As long as you're nutritionally covering all bases, I'd go with whatever works for you.

Nice job on the maintenance thing...I can't wait.

Default I've arrived!

After getting to goal, I realized it's time to RELAX about eating again --- become less INTENSE with counting carbs and THINKING ABOUT FOOD TOO MUCH of the time... and just EAT to LIVE, not LIVE to Eat

...I mean, isn't that what low carbing was supposed to do -NORMALIZE our thinking and eating behaviors - not just change them?

Here's the details - I do opt for healthier fats and leaner proteins when I can....not a huge variety of foods I admit, but I eat large meals and I HATE to cook. May not work for all, but it got me where I want to be and will keep me there - I mean here.

1 Multivitamin
Supplement omega 3 (flaxseed oil)
Exercise 1 hour every day
------------------------------------------------------------------
Menu includes but is not limited to:

Eggwhites Romaine Lettuce, Canola mayo
MetRxPlus protein shake asparagus Smartbalance butter Chicken/Turkey/Fish Green, wax beans Flaxoil Tuna (canned/low salt) spinach, Salmon (fresh/packaged) mushrooms

Once in a while: VERY heavy unprocessed german ryebread (low gi!) - small/very small amount of steel cut oats
-----------------------------
My healthy habits-
Limit processed foods, redmeat, dairy, trans, hydrog fat
No alcohol, caffeine or artificial sweeteners.
