Well, you can click on the section on the right under quick links called "Which low-carb plan is right for me?"

Then you get the book of the plan you want to do and read it.

There is a great thread at the top of the newbie questions forum called Hot Links and it's full of useful information.

It really works!

Beth

So far this WOL is working great for me, I am losing weight and feeling better than I have in a long time. I would like to point out though that it is a change in lifestyle and not just a diet. If you go back to your old eating patterns you will regain what you have lost! Keep this in mind when you make the choice.

Lightbulb thinking...

Yes, yes, yes, it works . I have lost 19 pounds since January 24 and am almost to my goal weight. It is a permanent choice in lifestyle, but we all think it's worth it b/c the weight DOES come off, you never feel hungry or deprived, your lethargy will disappear, you fit into your old clothes, etc, etc. Personally I do Atkins and believe very strongly in the water and exercise as well as the eating plan. I really do feel 10 years younger, and that alone is worth it!!

Everyone is different, tho', so look around on the web before you commit yourself.

The way I do this is that I eat eggs or an Atkins bar for breakfast, and meat and veggies for lunch and dinner. I also eat cheese, a piece of Atkins bar or a sugar-free jello for snacks and to satisfy my longing for sweets.

Good Luck to you, whatever you decide-

I love this way of life! I have never felt better! I can eat whenever I am hungry and never feel guilty again! I started in September in a tight size 16 and am now in a loose size 10.

I know I will finally get to my goal with Atkins!

Post It does work!

In the past I tried many "diets", that's what I called them, and that's what they were.
Low Carbing is a way of eating for life. It's not a quick fix, it's a long term healthy way of living for good health.

So far I've lost weight at a good healthy pace that's right for my body. I agree with Beth, research the different Low Carb plans. Choose the one that suits you the best, and GO FOR IT!

Good Luck and hope to see you around here!

Nice to see someone else from Michigan on here. Yes this WOE does work. I started on March 1st of this year and have lost 18 lbs. You're already on your way by asking questions. Research as much as you can. Knowledge is power. Everything else is trial and error. Your body will let you know.
I also suggest a supplement called L-Glutamine if you are experiencing cravings for carbs and sweet. It will take your cravings away. I swear by it.
I also suggest experiencing with your favorite seasonings. They can be the best way to change up the taste of your foods without adding the carbs.
