Default LC friendly Nurse

I had to go talk to one of the Nurses in the On Campus clinic here. We were talking and she asked about my weight loss, and if I was on any specific plan (just general infor for the charts). When I told her I was on Atkins she asked how much weight I lost. She said she was very impressed with my weight loss and commitment to exercising. She was very supportive and didn't say a single negative thing. It was very incouraging.

I had gone in for a spleen check. Apperently I have a spleen doctors can feel, but it's not tender. I needed to get an outside Nurse of physician to check it in order to write a letter stating it was safe for me to donate plasma. I know there would probably doctors who woudl of heard the word Atkins and swore it was to blame along with any other health problems I may or may not ever experience in my life :P

Wow! That's great! I usually get defensive before I even get to the doctor. My doctor's nurse was thrilled about Atkins, and asked me millions of questions. She isn't overweight, just has those extra 10 pounds I've always heard about, but never experienced myself, hahaha.

I'm a nurse too, and can think of nothing in the Atkins WOE that would enlarge a person's spleen!
