diet rite is the best for dieting, no sugars or salts. DietRite uses a different sugar, splenda(sp?) its a non-nutritive sweetener. Whil diet coke uses aspartame. I read that aspartame can cancle or slow the atkins process. Somone plz correct me if im wrong

diet Hanson's is good too, if you can find it, also made with Splenda. If you have a Kroger's, check their health food section.

I usually use Diet Rite or Spelnda. But, for the past couple of weeks, I have drank like Diet DR. Pepper, Diet RC, etc. It doesn't seem to be slowing me down. But, everyone isn't the same

so are nuts are ok during induction as long as I keep my carbs to the right level. there were 10g carbs in that 20oz serving, now I will only eat 10 for the rest of the day. is that ok?

Nuts aren't recommended on induction. However, my wife eat them on induction with no problems

No, nuts are not allowed on Induction. The idea on Induction is that you get the bulk of your carbs from vegies. It only lasts for 2 weeks, then you can gradually add in things like nuts.
And by following the lists of allowed foods, you are giving yourself the best chance of long term weight loss.

John, I can't help but notice you have not done any reading about low carbing. Please, go out and buy yourself a copy of Dr Atkins' New Diet Revolution. You'll find not just the lists of allowed foods, but a lot of other information that will help you.

Cheers, and happy low carbing!

Rosebud

One thing that I never like about pop ( I am from Ohio but have been transplanted to California ) soda is the sweetness. Even before lcing, I never liked sweet pop. I love the fizz esp. in colas but not the sugar. Then, one day I discovered sparkling water. It comes flavored but not sweetened. The effervesence is very satisfying and I am drinking my water. My favorite flavors are either lemon or lime-no sweetening. Perhaps, if you need sweetening, you could add splenda. I highly recommend it even if you try it once.
