Question Dehydration??

I've been drinking like 160-180ozs of water a day & at night after 1 beer, my hands swell up bad. I've been retaining alot of water lately also. Could I possibly be dehydrated drinking this much water?? I know LC can dry you out but, this sucks. Anyone had this problem? What's the deal? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

That sounds like a lot of water. 'Enough' is good enough; 'more' is not better and will not make you lose weight any faster. Don't force yourself. :excml:

It the swelling really noticable, like actual edema? If it is, get thee to thy doctor.

Ditto's - that doesn't sound like something low carb dieting would do - I'd talk to your doctor ASAP! Hopefully nothing is wrong, but best to know for sure, you know?

Smile Thanks for getting back to me

I'm not forcing down water, beer & water is all I like, but I'm kind of a heavy drinker so I'm trying to rehydrate. I don't think it's Edema, it almost seems like my body isn't absorbing water properly,it's only in my hands & only after my first beer. I'm just trying to figure it out.
