I don't have narcolepsy, but I definitely have more energy all day on Atkins.

I'm no narcoleptic either, but I definitely don't fall asleep in the afternoons like I used to. To me, the greatest impact on my life with this way of eating has been the even energy levels all day long. For almost all of my life I've had tremendous energy swings during the day. It's affected my ability and desire to experience things, or by ability to get important work done. This has all gone away now and I only get sleepy when I've not had enough sleep. Now I can be awake all day long for my procrastinations!

I know FOR SURE that the afternoon 3 o'clock sleepiness is gone
due to LC. Every afternoon I could set my watch by the foggy,
sleepy, help me find the bed feeling I got at precisely 3 pm.

Not now! I'm alert and awake all day, unless I'm overtired from
normal activity. I can tell when I eat something I'm not supposed to too. Within 30 minutes I'm feeling sleepy and foggy
minded.
