Dunno much about the benefiber... but try this first... cut back to 2 cups of salads if you on induction level and add a vegie high in fiber.. like spinach , collards, brochlie and so on... see if that helps first.. Im leaveing this to more experienced people in this department.. I dont know much about adding extra fiber from a suplement.. I usualy have at least 10 -16 grams of fiber daily in my foods..

Hi Bobo

Yes I use Benefiber daily. I take 1 tbs. with 4 ozs. of water 2 or three times a day, especially on those days that I know I haven't kept my fiber up. I also drink over 110 ozs. of water daily.
I try to eat very fibrous veggies but can't always get enough in throughout the day.

To keep track of my fiber I use www.fitday.com. It really helps.
Because I have diverticulosis (just diagnosed) I have to have 30-50 grams of fiber daily. I rarely get it up that high but managed to stay around 20-25.

Hope this helps.

For the effective carbohydrates, subtract the fiber.

The volume of raw spinach to make 1 cup cooked spinach is astronomical. Well, maybe not astronomical, but it's a huge amount.

oh, so i don't measure brocolli or spinach raw before i cook them?? i thought we should measure them raw cuz they shrink.
so it's ok to measure them after they are cooked?
