One carb counter lists a cup of popcorn, popped w/oil as:Total Carbohydrates 6.29 g, Dietary Fiber 1.10 g. Even tho it'd be hard to stop w/just 1 cup, this seems low.??? (I know that the trans-fats in movie popcorn are nasty)

My carb counter shows a net 4 carbs per cup. Because it is so hard to stop at one cup I stay away from it. And since I can't go a movie without popcorn I don't go to movies, either. I wait for the DVD.

Oh you think that's bad? I WORK in a movie theater. I smell the popcorn aaaall day long. I told the people at work today I should be in Popcorn Anonymous.

That funny you guys mention movies me and my bf went tonight and also last week for our anniversary and get this NO POPCORN!!! I have no idea how I did it , I never could go in the theatre and not get it , doesnt matter how full I am! I have no idea how I am doing alot of this, working in a dollar store with lots of candy and chocolate bars, working in a mall!!! I must have some will power its been 5 weeks on Monday!!!!!!!!!! not much loss though

;-) It's just the smell of the popcorn... Some days it smells really bad... just because I haven't had any, if that makes sense. Some days it smells soo good I'm like GIVE ME ALL OF IT! I just go up, sniff the popcorn, turn around and tell everyone, "I'm okay. I feel better now. HIDE IT ALL!"

:-D Aahh, I love my job. I have a couple days off now, finally, so I won't have to smell it again until Tuesday.

I went to the movies on July 4th for the first time since doing Atkins. I went prepared with 1 oz of macademia nuts in a baggie and an Atkins bar. I bought a bottle of water when I got there, drank it, ate the macademias but didn't need the bar. I was SO happy that I could get through it without feeling tempted.

I'm in Atkins pre-maintenance and can have some now. I just make sure to have lots of that horrible phoney butter chemical to fill up because I can eat a vat of if.

For you guys out there in induction or OWL I recommend bringing some pepperoni crisps if you like them. Just microwaved pepperoni pieces. They are very fragrant and have that salty flavor that is a pretty good replacement.

I love popcorn and today go to a movie without it. I load up on good snacks or better yet eat before going into movie. BUT.....the smell calls you when you enter the theatre.
