My daughter's eczema responds well to aloe vera, also. Additionally, we are careful not to expose her to perfumed soaps and detergents. If nothing else helps a patch, we use hydrocortisone on it which seems to help her body overcome the problem if used only occasionally. (Doc warned against constant use for children, especially.)
