Water pills make you pee alot. They can also make you severly dehydrated and probably aren't needed on an LC diet whitch is a natural duretic.

A better way to reduce water retention is to watch sodium intake and drink tons of water. Basically if your body is continually getting a supply of water, it will be less likly to hang on to what it gets.

Water retention can cause discomfort and bloating. For some the slight rise inthe scale can send them into a panic (water weight does typically disapear though). I really wouldn't go for water pills though.

at 5'7" 110 pounds might put you at unhealthy as is. Have you read Atkins for Life? It may be more geared to your needs. It allows for more carbs and leeway. You might also get your body fat checked and go for a healthy body fat instead of a number on the scale.
