Hi and welcome. I hope you find help with all of us here.
I am with the peanut gallery on your SIL. What a horrible thing to do to someone.
Now my theorys on "dieting" are this.
This must be set in your mind to be a change of habits and a new way of life. Because it is the long term thinking and consistancy that really change your body, health and mind. Now with that in mind you need to really think about how you plan to live and what you are willing to lose from your daily eating.
There are many LC plans, and although I am a REAL PRO ATKINS person other plans may work better for your family life to start.
Read on the right "which low carb plan is right for me?" and see if something strikes you as more comfortable.
