Fell Off BIG TIME

I am so upset with myself......afer losing 12 pounds on Induction, I blew it so bad. I made chocolate chip cookies last night & ate 5 of them today. My stomach is hurting & I feel sick......should I try to eat lc the rest of today or just not eat anything else & start fresh tomorow? I really hope this isn't a huge blunder on my scale.

Thanks for lal the advice on these boards - it sure does help.

Oh Sweetie,

I feel your pain through the screen. Don't be hard on yourself. We are just learning how to eat. This is a life time process. I think when we "mess up", it is one of our greatest assests, because this pain motivates us forward to greater achievments.

Just keep breathing in, breathing out, and don't eat any more cookies inbetween. You'll be just fine.

Telling us all about it, and asking for help shows your great strength.

get back on the wagon, now!

If it were me (and it has been, believe me) I would just move on and continue the rest of the day (and the rest of your life) in a LC way.

 Give the rest of the cookies away!!!! or bury them deep in your freezer--or toss them! :D

Pay attention to what your body is telling you right now, and remember how yuck you feel for the next time you're tempted!

Check out the recipe section and look for LC substitutes. There are cookie recipes that won't break your resolution, altho' some people find LC substitutes cause a stall.

And look thru this forum--lots of support and messages that remind us how much better off we are when we stick to the LC WOL.

Pick yourself up, dust off the crumbs and start again. Don't keep beating yourself up over it. :bash: Resolve to do better tomorrow. Perfection is not required to be successful.

Just get right back on that horse! Most of us have had similar experiences (mine involved ramen, pizza, and cheesy bread, AH!) and the best thing to do is just don't beat yourself up too much, and get right back to it. Give yourself a few days to get back into the swing of ketosis and stay strong!

:)

Thanks, guys.....you all really helped me and I am feeling better about this slip up. I think I may keep on Induction for awhile longer and get myself back to where I was feeling. Knowing that it happens to others also helps a little. Sweets are SUCH my downfall!

Don't make any more cookies!!! :D :D :D

Make the LC cheesecake instead! It's great...love it!

Yes, we've ALL been there...no problem...but just ask yourself, were those stupid cookies worth all your effort, AND the guilt you're feeling???

Nah... ;)
