Walnut Oil Question
 
Much to my delight, Ruth gifted me with a bottle of Walnut Oil. I've been wanting some to use in salad dressings so I'm absolutely thrilled.

My question is this: Is it necessary to store it in the fridge?

Some people would say yes, but most nut oils - unless they are cold pressed - will keep for a month or so after being opened in a cool dark cupboard.

Hint: for salad dressings, mix it in with olive oil because it can be too strong on its own. Try it drizzled on fresh berries with whipped cream. :yum:

Thanks for the speedy response Karen.

The bottle says it's "expeller pressed". I assume that's cold. I think I'll opt to refridgerate it since I doubt I'll have it used up quickly.
