jumping in with both feet
Hi Everyone,
I am a twenty-something university student who decided to start off the new term with a new lifestyle. I’ve never used a forum before, but I’ve also never been able to reach and maintain a healthy body weight on my own—so I thought I would take the plunge. Last year, I did Atkins and quickly lost over 30 pounds. I know the plan works if you follow it, but sticking with it was my problem! I’ve put back on the weight, with a little more to spare. I am really looking forward to being involved in this community. I had lurked around the site for a while, and everyone seems so very helpful and encouraging. If only I had found you guys last year, when my willpower was waning and my motivation was movin’ on out! |
Well welcome, and good luck it is a bit hard to follow and stick with being a student, maybe you can find a atkins buddie ?
I really hope you make a stern effort to keep it off this time, as it is very hard on our body, to lose and gain repeatedly. Good Luck Kathy |
Hi, VanCityGirl.. there are lots of us BC-ers on this Forum! Good luck to you and if you have any questions or need meal ideas, suggestions as to where to find things.. feel free to ask! :)

Greetings from another Vancouverite!
I'm sure you'll be comfortable here...your home away from home. :) Karen |
Welcome! You sure did come to the right place for support!
Is school already in full swing for you? Are you dependent on the cafeteria food stands or do you have a mini fridge in your room? Best Wishes! :yay: Annie-Pie |
Thanks
Hi guys,
I Don't know if you will see this, -- as I said forums are greek to me! -- but Thanks for your kind words and support. Luckily I don't need to rely on the cafeterias. I live in an apartment with my boyfriend, and I do all the shopping and cooking. This should make meal planning and sticking to my plan easier, but it also means I have no excuses! lol. Kathy, I don't know if you'll see this, but you deserve a big  WOOHOO! Way to go! Only 2% to go, and only at it about 9 months. You are an inspiration. Glad to see some fellow Vancouverites here! I'm sure you guys are a wealth of information for us newbies. Thanks! |
