Question Help! What threw me out of ketosis?

This is my 3rd week on Atkins (although I have tried the diet many times in the past.) All last week, my ketostix were a nice dark purple. Then, boom, Saturday night-white. No color change at all. It stayed that way until today. The only things I did differently were:
1) I ate one slice of a low-carb bread (Bread of LIfe brand 3g carbs). Keep in mind that I have been eating Atkins bread on occasion with no efffect on my ketosis state.
2)I had a Pria carb select nutrition bar for breakfast and lunch, plus another one for my afternoon snack. I have eaten 2 of these per day with no ill effects for the last 2 weeks. Could adding just one more throw me from dark purple to white?
I know they say not to put too much faith into the sticks, but they really motivate me. Today I have ommited the bars entirely and my stick was light pink. What's going on here?
Thanks,
Karla

Those bars have high carbs total, they just don't count glycerine and so on. I'd say get rid of the bars, and maybe cut back on the bread.

Do you normally test in the morning and this time tested at night? That can make a big difference 'cause your water drinking all day can really dilute the affect of the stick color....don't worry as it was only temporary...

those sticks have been the cause of too much temporary madness around here....

I was always okay with sugar alcohols and just recently I noticed they knocked me out of ketosis. I have cut them back totally for a while.

It might be best if you count the total carbs minus fiber only. Just because SA's do not impact blood sugar for many people does not negate the fact that they have carbs. Those carbs do not go away. The body still has to process them. If you eat them, count the sugar alcohols.
