Default Need advice - Yeast allergy vs. candida

Hello,

I recently had a food allergy test which indicated that I am allergic to yeast. I believe I have candida as I have several symptoms (including headaches, fatigue, muscle aches, and digestive issues) and took antibiotics long term on two occasions in the past few years for lyme disease. My question is is whether candida led to the yeast allegy? Is my body producing antibodies to the yeast in my intestinal tract which causes the positive results on the food allergy test? I have cut out yeast and am attempting to get the candida under control. Is it reasonable that after the candida is under control for some period that my allergy would go away and that I could tolerate yeast (in moderation of course).

Thanks!

You probably have candida and that gave the yeast allergy test result. An anti-candida diet should not include carbohydrates, except low-carbohydrate vegetables. Yeast should not be included in the diet and many foods that have yeast would be unacceptable since they also include carbohydrates. Cheese should be avoided until candida is ruled out. A very restrictive approach would be a quicker way to good health.

Good luck,

Kent
