Talking headaches

I`m on day 3 of my Atkins Diet induction, and since the end of day 1, I`ve been getting regular headaches - at least twice a day. Im on 17 - 19 grms of carbs and here`s an example of my menu:

BREAKFAST: 3 bacon, 2 boiled eggs.

MID MORNING: cup of decaff. coffee with half cream (1 tblsp) and 1 splenda

LUNCH: tuna salad - 1 tin tuna, 1 celery stick, 1 cup of iceberg lettuce, 1 cup mixed peppers, 2 tblsp mayo.

MID AFTERNOON: as mid morning

EVENING: 225 grms chicken fillet, 1 1/2 cup of broccolli and 40 grms cheddar cheese.

Drinking 3 litres water a day.

Can somebody advise me why these headaches maybe occuring? Thanks.

(3 1/2 pound loss)

Hi! That's perfectly normal. It's carb withdrawal, and also probably caffeine withdrawal, if you were a regular coffee drinker. You can add the caffeinated coffee back in and slowly wean yourself off it, if you'd prefer. It shouldn't negatively affect your weight loss.
