Question did i screw my induction?

Hi everyone,

Today for St patricks day my work had a table full of sugar. Cake, cookies, pastries, punch you name it if it had sugar it was there. They also gave us an extra long break so that we had more time to be tempted. I normally wouldn't be tempted that much but i forgot my lunch today so i was hungry. I didn't eat any of the crap but instead i went to the machine and bought a pack of peanuts. I know you can't have peanuts on induction. Did i screw it up and do i have to start over. I'm in my second week in induction since starting atkins. thanks

Jon

Default Good Job

First of all, give yourself a HUGE pat on the back for NOT eating all that sugary crap. That would have set you back. While you can't have nuts on induction, my opinion is that you made an excellent choice based on the facts you gave. Just move on...you made a great choice!!!!

Hey Jon

Ya know I CAN'T bonk you, I luv you to much . The peanuts are way better than all the other stuff, it could of been way worse. Like pretzels and green beer.

If you have any p stix left you can check if you are still in ketosis, if the peanuts were the worst you had you probably still are. I know you had said you wanted to re-do induction so just keep going is all you can do. Like I said the peanuts were not too bad, just don't forget your lunch again - for that I will bonk you good next time

If you want to continue to eat at the 20 gram level, go for it, but I don't think there's any reason to re-do your entire induction for a package of peanuts. You made a great choice in a bad situation and deserve a major pat on the back.

Default peanuts??!!?

Umm, I'm on induction (~20 carbs daily) and I figure in peanuts into my total count when I eat them. I didn't remember reading anything against nuts... Whoops!! I haven't had any stalls from it, weird... what is it about nuts that isn't suitable for induction? Most are high protein and low carbs...or so I thought!!! Am I wrong??

HELP! LOL

Peanuts are technically a legume, not a nut.

You did the best you could in that situation and I'm sure one pack of nuts won't set you back.

You made a great choice and bore up under the pressure--congrats to you!!

I'd say to just get right back on Atkins, next meal, don't stress out about it. You aren't going to be able to control every single food situation your whole life (WOL not just a diet, remember?? )

Also, don't for get your lunch again!!!
(just teasing you )
