Default oh no....how bad did I screw up?

Oh no...tell me how bad I just screwed up.
I just ate 5 pieces of bacon that was cured in sugar. HOw bad did I screw up? (I have been gaining weight, but this is the first time I ate this bacon)

Also, what about sausage? Am I looking for something specific on packaging?

Thanks so much for your replies! Hopefully it will just take a few days before I notice a change.
As I was awaiting replies, I went and made some bacon...AFTER I ate 5 pieces, I decided to read the package (I know, BIG DUH) and found it was cured in sugar. This was the first time I used this bacon, so I know this wasn't attributing to my weight gain. Hopefully, I didn't screw up too bad.

I alway get the cured in sugar bacon. Seem to be the only kind I can find, and am willing to pay for. IT has never bothered me in the least.

Bacon not cured in sugar is very hard to find! I still use bacon! Sausage you want to look for a product that doesn't have a lot of fillers, flour etc. I usually buy fresh country sausage at the meat counter or use Jimmy Dean.

This bacon is maple sugar bacon by Hormel. It is sooooo good. I would hate to give it up now that I just found it. So...I guess I'll keep eating it..and if I keep gaining...I'll blame you guys (smile)
