Question Why the headache and nausea?

Hello everyone,

Hope everyone is being successful with their weight loss.

I have a couple of questions.

1. I've been getting headaches on and off, usually when I start to get hungry. Why? And does this happen to anyone else?

2. For the past 2 days, when I get hungry, I kinda feel nauseated. Is this normal and does anyone else have the same problem? (ruled out pregnancy already, just in case that was one of your thoughts)

Thanks for the help.

Lily

Hi Lily!

You are on day 6 of induction, if I read your profile correctly. Right now you're going through a severe detox. That's what gives you the headache (boy, did I have a headache... as well as nausea, dizziness, fatigue etc...) If you have quit caffeinated coffee even more so. (I actually started drinking coffee again after a week, couldn't bear being such a nuisance to my significant others. )

Just bear with these dog days and you'll be fine soon.

Don't allow yourself to get to the point of hunger where you get these headaches, nibble instead - on Induction approved food, of course. You should have at least 6 meals a day to keep your bloodsugar up and cravings down, especially in the beginning.

And please don't forget your water, drink lots, religiously! And take some cal/mag supplement - in order to prevent leg cramps and dizziness.

Best of luck!

/gil

Thanks Gilibel ,

That made sense. I feel better knowing it's just the side effects.

Love Lara Croft by the way...big fan here.

Lara Croft??? Where??
I don't get it...

Yeah, she's übercool, but if I strived for her waist measures I'd fall over and crack in half. We have the same bra size though...

Glad I could be of help. Take care, Lily!

Man if I can look like Angelina Jolie, well at least her body, I'd be set.

Take care,

Some people call it carb withdrawal.

It is your body reacting to the loss of sugar and it really stinks. Lasted 6 days for me and then I felt great.

Just eat whenever hungry until satisfied and know it is only for a bit.

Thanks! I just had dinner and my headache was starting so I know now that it is triggered by hunger. Will start having mini snacks inbetween meals to keep that from happening. All within the rules of Induction of course.
