Hey y'all!

I started Atkins about ten days ago... The last few days I have noticed that my pee has been bright yellow all of the time. I was used to having strage colored pee for a few hours after taking my multivitamin- but now I have it all day long. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it normal?

The dyes are normally from the Vitamin B group.

Are you perhaps taking a time released multivitamin? If you stop taking the vitamins/supplements does your urine go back to normal color?

like you need more water. I noticed the change in the color of my urine with my new multi's too... but it goes away as the day progresses and I get my water in. You can always tell when you are not drinking enough water if your urine is not clear, or has an odor! Are you drinking at least 3 liters of water a day? I usually average around 4 or 5....

Mine is the same way, but I assume it's from the vitamins. I take Atkins Basic #3 three times a day, so the neon stays with me. Even when I drink plenty of water (I drink sooooo much water) there is still an unnatural color in the urine. Just the good old B!

It must be the vitamins because I drink TONS of water- like 20 glasses a day... I always have. I did change vitamins recently but I thought all multi's were the same. My old multi made my pee bright yellow for an hour or so, my new multi all day long. Sounds like my new multi is better than my old multi.

a multi-vitamin (GNC's Ultra Mega) and was alarmed when my urine came out bright yellow! I remembered I saw this thread a little while ago and performed a search to find it and "voila" here's the answer to my concern, Vitamin B!
