Question Swiss miss & whipping cream?

I had some Swiss Miss Cocoa today made with water and topped it with Redi Whip, extra creamy whipping cream. Total of 11g's.

Is this gonna hurt me or is this allowed?

Please help, I just wanted to drink something other than water so bad.

Lily

Get the diet Swiss Miss and add whipping cream. They are smaller cups of cocoa than you may be used to, but the flavor is good. 3 net carbs.

I believe there is a "Sugar-Free" & a "Diet" Swiss Miss The Diet Swiss Miss I believe is sweetend with Splenda. This would be the one you would want to use. You would also be better of whipping you up your own whipped cream, as it is much better then Redi Whip.

That's the wrong one. Get the Diet Swiss Miss for lower carbs.

You get heavy whipping cream, then whip the heck out of it. Unless you have great wrist strength, use an electric mixer and whip until peaks form. Add a little sweetner if you must. Chilling the bowl and beaters before hand will make it whip easier. Make sure both the bowl and beaters are super clean and free of any oils (that may be more important on egg whites then cream) Also if you have a copper bowl to use that helps with the whipping as well.

Definetly get the diet swiss miss. The sugar free is still higher carb. Both are splenda sweetened. The Diet comes in a pink box. The first ingredient on both kinds is milk powder, so if you are sensative to dairy, procede with caution. What I like to do is add some DaVincci toasted marshmallow flavored syrup.

While the Diet Swiss miss is LC, it is still a sweeter item. Remember to use in moderation. You need to get your tastebuds retrained to not want sweets all the time.

Warm drink ideas can include warm soy slender (1 net carb for 8 oz), herbal teas, coffee. I just bought myself a cappachino machine and have been making soy lattes with soy slender. Very addicting.

For cold drinks there is Diet Rite, Fruit20, Seltzer water mixed with flavored syrups, and so on. There is a nice juice like drink that EAS puts out that is high in protien and low in carbs.

Rememebr htough you still have to drink your water. Substatuting old habits with new ones labled LC won't help you to learn good eating habits. On any food limit your portions and eat sensably.

LadyBelle
I drink a lot of unsweetened choc soy milk purchased from Trader Joe's. I also use the s/f marshmallow syrup like you do, too. Yum!

Can you please tell me how you make your lattes with the soy milk? I hope to get a machine from Santa and of course, will NOT use milk.

Thanks and have a Merry Christmas too.

Hugs,
Annie-Pie

I just steam the soy milk like you would regular milk

Brew the espresso, then have a container well chilled and soy milk well chilled. Steam till all nice foamy and warm. Then dump in DaVincci or other flavored syrup if you want.

When I was preggie and avoiding caffine I would get steamed chocolate milk with amaretto syrup flavoring. Yummmmmmm. I picked up both regular espresso and some decaf for those times I want a warm sweet drink at night and don't want the excess caffine. For kids you can also steam regular milk and maybe put in some of the marshmallow syrup for a flavored milk treat for them.
