Default Cinnamon pork rinds, OMG!!!

Oh, yeah. I visited the low carb store this weekend and stumbled across the cinnamon butter pork rinds. I swear they taste like the little cinnamon twists from Taco Bell. I also noticed when I was at Kroger they are charging 6.49 for a stinking box of that so called macaroni & cheese. For one it probably tastes like absolute doo doo and second, who in their right mind would pay (after tax) about 7 bucks for macaroni & cheese??? Come on, do they really think we're that desparate for mac & cheese?!!

Yep, Gram's Gourment. They were $2.99, not too bad of a price considering the regular kind at the grocery are usually about $2 and the bags are smaller.

There is a recipe on here for cinnimon butter pork rinds. Basicaly you crumble regular in a bowl, then add cinnimon, sweetner and melted butter.

I tried this once. I was rather unimpressed and thought it was kind of nasty. Worse part was the next morning (I ate it for a prebed snack) I had gained 7 pounds water weight :P I kind of got away from all pork rinds at that point. Now if only there was a place here that would make real fresh chicharonis, the kind that look crisp but are tender..

Last time I had pork rines I was sick with the flu a few hours later, so I can't even think about them, let alone eat them without getting a yucky feling in my stomach.
Oh, but I wish I could...they sound great!

I did it the lazy way, opened a bag of nice fresh pork rinds. Sprinkled cinnamon and splenda on the pork rinds to taste, melted butter and sprinkled it on rinds, toss and reflavor with cinnamon and splenda if needed. Very satisfying to the ol sweet tooth! ZERO guilt!

I just bought a bag of Gramms Butter Cinnamon pork rinds and have not tried them yet. We have a new Low Carb Shoppe here in Champaign now and it has so many things.
