Default sorry Im so full of questions lately...

The past week or so after I eat I tend to feel tired. Up until yesterday I was eating the same stuff as before that didnt make me tired. Kinda the way I used to feel after eating mashed potatoes or pasta...not AS tired tho...but kinda the same feeling. Also, I have noticed my normal dinner salad (romaine or spinach, chicken, dressing) isnt keeping me full for as long. Is there something going on in my body Im not realizing?

Kind of personal -but are you anywhere near TOM? I go through that too when I am PMSing. I still pretty much graze all day then.

El,
Do you eat a salad every night? I'm asking because you said "normal" dinner salad... You may want to try a little variety. Your body gets used to the same things over and over.

Could be you are not getting enough calories in your body. Do you take a multi-vit/mineral formula? If not...you should.

Its supposed to be my TOM but it is running late. Im never late, and theres no possibility of me being pregnant. I Have salad every night for dinner cuz its easiest for me to take to work. I have different types of salad, and different toppings, and dressings. Its just the most conveinent thing for work. I was taking a multivitamin but keep forgetting. Ill make sure to remember. Thanks you guys

You stated before tha tyou weren't subtracting fober. Probably the best thing you can do for energy is to start upping your carbs slowly, and going ahead with subtracting fiber. Follow through OWL and start raising. Plus then you can add mandarin oranges to your salads, cottage cheese, sprinkle nuts on for a topping, have a strawberry and chicken salad, or do all kinds of more creative things.

You might also start planning things you can cook fast and easy. Brown some ground meat, then fry salad greens in the oil it leave behind an dhave a cooked salad. Thaw some frozen shrimp and broccoli, then throw it in a frying pan with coconut and almonds for a fast stir fry. Also good is ground meat with a little tomato sauce added, along with cheese and pepperoni. It's like an instant pizza skillit. Almost all things like this take less then 5 mins to fry to gether. I do it sometimes when making a salad seems to dang complicated at the time

All my life I have been tired, not matter what I ate. After doing this woe, thanks to being on the lcers forums I discovered the need for potassium. I take 3 tablets per day and I am no longer tired. I started taking the potassium because of heart palptitations that I got after starting Atkins. I believe that all of my life I have been low on potassium and this caused my lethargy. I also think that potassium shortage caused me to believe that I was hungry when what I needed was potassium. I think a potassium shortage might even cause you to crave carbs. I always craved dirt when I was pregnant ( pica ) and it must've been due to a shortage of potassium. Some women with this also crave starch. see a connection?
