Default cool whip

Hi everyone,

Im in Tasmania, I was just reading a recipe in one of the other forums which sounded good, it called for cool whip, do we have an equivelant?

its either cheese or cream in a can...lol,,i think its the canned cream,,
you know the stuff, think its called ``whip`` or something like that,,,, unless its cool shaving cream..lol tastes about the same to me,,LOL,,,good luck

I thought it might be whipped cream in a can, but wasnt sure.

I will give it a try, or perhaps I could just whip some cream *lol*

Yes, it's whipped cream + sugar and I think some yucky trans fats in a can. So you'd be much better off using ordinary old home whipped cream.
I suspect the stuff we can buy in a can is also full of sugar and other junk. Doesn't taste nearly as good as plain whipped cream.

Actually "Cool Whip" is edible oil products plus sugar plus preservatives. Not a speck or drop of cream as far as I can remember.

hmmmm,,,,yummmo,,,,, NOT!
Kinda like meat pies here,,, 100% beef but no actual `beef `in it more like the bits of the cow you never thought you could eat.......
I still eat them but,,,,
LOL....
but thats before low carbing *sighs*,,now instead I eat the whole cow! and pig! and lamb! and chicken! LOL

well....I wont be trying the recipe for a while...I am in hospital having my meals served up to me...I am so proud, I am managing to stick to this woe even here!!!!

when I get home though I will be trying it!!

*LOL*... Rachael, I am in a private hospital with a private room, I bring my laptop with me whenever I come in, I have my own phoneline. Its a godsend, especially like now at 4am when I cant sleep
