Question Another Fitday question

Fitday shows one large, scrambled egg as having 1.34 gm carbs. Atkins book shows 0.6. I am finding a big difference in a lot of things in Atkins book and Fitday. Also I find big differences in the products I buy and Fitday. Is it best to make custom foods out of things you use regularly and go right off their nutrition label?

chocky, I'm thinking that scrambled egg on fitday has more than just 'egg' in it (even though they don't list any other ingredients - they sometimes will omit them). The sodium count is too high for just an egg. There might be margarine, butter or milk in there. I'd use just the regular whole egg, raw - add the butter you use separately and whatever else you add in.

If I have all the numbers for foods I eat a lot of then I do make them a custom food - or if I eat certain recipes a lot, I'll punch it all in and get a serving size/range of numbers. Otherwise I just go with fitday - one or two carbs here and there never made much of a difference for me.

Chocky - Nat's right about the other ingredients being in the scrambled egg listing. I personaly prefer to type in custom ingredients whenever I have label information - or use a recipe, especially if it's an item I use a lot.
