Default Breakfast question

Whats the big deal with Nitrate? Its in my bacon, but reading other forms suggest its not.. is this one of those health things or does it cause me to stall?

And is Chorizo fine to eat?

BTW 1 week coming to a close im loosing nicely YAY ME!

of course ill screw it up come friday and i go out.. diet coke and rum for me.. but still lol.

Nitrates and nitrites are known carcinogens and should be avoided for that reason. (However, be aware that most of the nitrates we eat are in natural foods and in our saliva!) The goal in anyone's diet should be to reduce as many of these toxins as possible so that your body can function at it's peak. Processed deli meats tend to have a lot of salt as well, resulting in water weight gain.

Eating modest amounts of processed foods probably won't hurt your weight loss efforts, but eating them all day, every day might.
