Default Carnival Cruise Line goes the low-carb route

Carnival Cruise Line goes the low-carb route
By Jayne Clark
USA TODAY

It's a fad diet or a lifestyle choice, depending on your perspective. And now, it's a cruise promotion. (Related item:Cutting carbs on the road is tough, but help's on the way)

The low-carb craze sets sail in September on the first of four scheduled cruises to Mexico and the Caribbean on Carnival Cruise Line. Up to 500 devotees of the Atkins, South Beach and other carbohydrate-restrictive regimens are expected to sign up for the "lifestyle cruises," organized by Florida-based Carb Counter Cruises. Low-carb versions of existing shipboard menus are being created by former Atkins Group executive chef Greg Pryor, plus some selections created just for vacationing dieters. (Low-carb margarita, anyone?)

I wanna sign up! Sounds like so much fun. There have been Atkins cruises in the past, which sounded great, but this sort of thing really rocks!

I cant wait for the day that you can go on a plane and pick low carb as your meal option the same way you can choose kosher or vegetarian.
