U.S. Government finally gets with it ...
Back in 1996, the US government (Surgeon General) suggested that Americans exercise 30 minutes per day.
New studies show that 30 minutes isn't enough to prevent weight gain. In light of those studies, the Natural Academy of Sciences (NAS) has upped the recommendations to 60 minutes per day.
The NAS has also adapted the ratios from the Food Pyramid. new dietary guidelines reflect 45 - 65% carbs, 10 - 35% protein, and 20 - 35% fat ... at least it's a step in the right direction.
Americans just have to get off their butts and do it now.
