Default Naseau after exercise?? Human Growth Hormone??

Hi

Does anyone else occasionally get naseau toward the end of their workout or just after?? This happens to me quite often and today I actually got sick twice and finally decided to stop before completing the last 2 exercises.

I am doing BFL type exercise but because I also go to curves - I do the upper and lower in the same day and go to curves later in the day, I do the cardio the next day.

When I used to go to the gym this would happen to me and I have a vague memory of the trainer saying something about after a good workout the body would start to produce more human growth hormone and this could cause naseau? I think human growth hormone is good if the goal is to build muscle?

Opinions Please

My understanding is that Human Growth Hormones are produced best when you exercise on an empty stomach. One thing you may want to check....blood sugar levels. If your levels are falling to low after exercise you will feel sick. Maybe try eating something small right after you exercise. Even just a few grapes could do the trick. Also...don't eat right before you exercise either. That could have the same effect....leaving you feeling sick.

Hey Koko,
Unless you are already in pretty good shape, doing full body weightlifting workouts is very likely overtraining. Especially if you are going hard at it, hard enough to feel sick. Then going to Curves.
Seperate your workouts more. If you want to do cardio, do it before lifting, such as early AM. Then lift in the PM if possible.
Do your lifting in a reasonably well fed state. Have a meal a couple of hours prior. Then immediately after, a protein shake with moderate high GI carbs is ideal for replenishment.

Koko, to clarify one point. If you can't get in the AM cardio, then do it after lifting, immediately is ok, 20-30min is adequate. The idea is to make sure you have maximum glycogen in your muscles for lifting.

Thanks Doug and Meadow

I'll try eating an hour or so before I do the weights. I had been doing them on an empty stomache - a few minutes after I woke up - then I would have a protein shake immediatley after.

Doug - my weights are not very heavy. I've only been doing the BFL ex for 2 weeks and I'm using 5,7,15 and 20lbs dumbells and up to plate no. 3 on my machine ( I don't know the weight of the plates - I think they must be 10).

I'm sure that re-aranging things a little is probably the answer. Thanks again.
