Hello to all low carb eaters,
Well, I have always fought with the bulg and most of the time the Bulg won!! :lola:
I was at 180 lbs, 8 years ago before my hysterecocmy(sap. ca.). Then we decided to move back home from Reno, Nevada area to Manteca, Ca.
My thyroid really went hey wire and I went into a thyroid storm. I became Hyperthyroid and got Graves disease. It took almost a year and they zapped my gland and then I became Hypothyroidism. When I was at Hyperthyroidism I gained weight instead of loosing like most with Hyperthyroidism.
Well, I got better, but Iamb still Hypothyroidism and I take synthyroid medication. I had a time getting weight off. I started reading the Thyroid newsletter (which I still read). I learnt alit. I started using 1 T of coconut oil per day and made Kefir. And as they said...I started loosing weight and feeling better. I also started at that time eatting low carbs. Well, little by little I started loosing. I joined Tops at the same time. I have lost 75 lbs and I have 25 lbs to get to my goal weight. This year I went to the Tops convention and I won in my division 1st place and 2nd place in the whole state of Ca.
That was great!!
I tried Fat Flush diet and it was ok, but I missed all the food I get to eat when on low carbs. I will get back following 1972 Atkins diet, It is more strict than the newer version. No net carbs, just real food.
I'm so excited that I found this website.
