Default Question about what to drink with medication

My dr. has prescribed an oral anti-fungal for my poor foot. He said I should drink orange juice with it because it seems to work better. What should I substitute? Should I just puree some strawberries and go with that? What juice can I drink?

Default Call

Call the pharmacy-
believe it or not often they know better than the Dr as to what to take with what-its their specialty.

Orange juice has a high acidic content and that may help break down the medication and allow it to enter your system quickly. But tell the pharmacy where you got it what your Dr said and tell them you can not have sugar and they will certainly know what to do.
Good luck !

I would think it's the vitamin C in the OJ that helps with absorbtion. That's how calcium is. You can get powdered vitamin c (buffered) that you can mix with water. I like Twinlab. It's really good for healing, too!

Have you checked out the yeast board here? I bet someone over there might know. Yeast and fungus, mold etc. are all related.
