Yup, calories matter
Hi there,
Your post caught my eye because I was in the same boat as you. I've been LCing since February, and at the beginning of course I had a big water whoosh, but then I didn't lose anything for MONTHS and just kept bouncing back and forth between these two pounds.
What I found was this: if you don't have much to lose, you REALLY need to watch your calories. I realized, once I started tracking on fitday.com, that I was averaging way too much. Even though LC is the best way to lose weight, if you're eating too many calories you are NOT going to lose, no matter what.
So what I did was this: I exercise (but not excessively- I run about 15 kms/week), I lift weights (only twice a week) and this helps me a lot to stay in ketosis. Last of all, I WATCH THOSE CALORIES. I stay, on average, at about 10-11 times my weight and it's been working like magic. I also cut out dairy, aspartame, etc. and eat only protein and veggies and healthy fats.
Give it a try for a couple of weeks.
Good luck to you! Keep us posted.
