Red face ITCHY FAT when excerising

Hi, I have had this for years and someone here may be able to explain it. If I go for a good decent quick walk (which i have been doing nearly every day of late) or even 'try' to jog after about 30 mins I start to get sooo itchy it nearly drives me batty and I just aboiut want to stop right there and rip into myself. I will sometimes start to slap myself in these areas as i walk along but why is this. My thighs used to go all red and blotchy and itchy way back in highschool (25 yrs ago) when we had to do crosscountry running. Its my tummy upper hips and thighs it happens to most.
Any insight anyone?

This happens to me too! Also happens when I am in the hot tub and the jets are blasting my back, or I use my electric massage thingy on my neck...

It has to do with circulation and stimulation of the epidermis. When you walk/run your circulation really gets moving and blood comes to the surface (part of our body's cooling system), combine that with the jiggling of certain body parts and you get the itchies (nerves over-stimulated with all that commotion). Notice how your non-jiggly parts don't itch very much? I was never "itchy" when I was thin and used to run, but when I started gaining weight around my butt and thighs (post-children), well, that is a different story...

Thanks for that Shelly,
Now you mentioned it ive had it on the rare occasion Ive been in a spa pool too.
So its a nerve thing not a fat thing.
I wondered why it only happened those times and not just working hard like lifting my weights. then it doesnt happen at all, even though Im puffing just as much so its the heat and 'jiggling'
very interesting, thankyou
