I wrote this on the fly in response to someone else who had written a lc poem, and in retrospect thought it was so damn good, it deserved its on thread. So here goes...
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LOWCARBER
by madmike
I get up each morning
after all night I've tossed
I get on the scale
hoping one pound I've lost.
I do feel much better
new strength in my legs
but I think I will be sick
if I eat any more eggs.
I eat only Pork Rinds,
as I drive down the roada,
carefully sipping my
Diet Rite Soda.
For dinner it continues
and the menu is slim-pickin
Its the same thing again,
either red meat or chicken.
For dessert low-carb ice-cream
like the Gods drink of nectar
but its so damn expensive
I now get calls from collectors.
Then I will get on this forum
and stay on past ten
because I get inspiration,
you make me laugh, cry and grin.
When tomorrow comes
I will do it all again,
knowing the LC way of life,
will allow me to be thin! Amen
